I created this workshop based on something I use everyday in my life. Macramé.
I learnt the craft of macramé as a child, making my first “Owl” (remember those?) with a little help from my mother.
Macramé is the art of tying knots using only your hands, it’s a slow process but it never gets boring for me.
I “macramé” to reenergize and relax. It my ME time and enables me to have a creative brainstorm. I think about my day, what I have to achieve and in my mind I lay out what I have to do.
It’s very rewarding to see it taking shape.
Hang it on a special place around your house, as an evolving piece of art, work on it everyday, one knot at a time; it’s visualises your personal development and progress of your mind.
When you feel you had enough, just change the pace, the cords, the material, the colour – add something different to it or just stop and come back another day.
Over time you will learn to promote relaxation and create internal energy.
The time when you untie your knots, you filter out what overloads you and as a result you are relaxed and energised, it is the art of untying knots, those little black holes and those intrinsic macramé patterns that are formed inside our head, that will dissolve,….one knot at a time.
In the workshop I will teach you some basic macramé knots that will allow you to be your own artist and work on your future wall hanging projects, plant holders. Additionally, we will have plenty of delicious organic food, coffee and tea.
Hope to see you soon.
We are going to have fun.
